Racine, which was founded in 1834 and chartered in 1848, is located South of Milwaukee. It has an estimated population of 84, 298 people and an approximate size of 15.4 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of manufacturing, trades and services. It is home to the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and Gateway Technical College.
