San Antonio, which was founded in 1718 and incorporated in 1809, is located in the center of the state, South of Austin. It has an estimated population of 935, 933 people and an approximate size of 263 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of services, wholesale and retail trade and government. It is home to the University of Texas at San Antonio, St. Mary’s University and San Antonio College.
