Lancaster, which was established in 1721 and incorporated in 1818, is located on the southeast side of Pennsylvania and west of Philadelphia. It has an estimated population of 55, 551 people and an approximate size of 7.4 square miles. Its’ economy is mainly manufacturing, services and retail trade. It is home to Franklin and Marshall College, Pennsylvania School of the Arts and Penn State - Lancaster Center.
