Welcome... to Salina New York!

The Town of Salina was established in the year 1809. It has an estimated population of 37.000 people, and an approximate size of 14.9 square miles. It is located due east of Onondaga lake, and west of Hancock International Airport. The main routes of travel are state Routes 81, 90 and 370. Salina was basically known for its salt content, and its merchants, which were all in the salt business. The settlement was on a low hill, which is now part of the City if Syracuse. Originally, Salina got off to a better start then Syracuse, but was quickly passed by. Today, you can enjoy many historical sites based on the salt industry, and the Iroquois Indians.
