Trenton, which is the states capital, was established in 1679 and incorporated in 1792. It is located South of New Brunswick on the west side of the state. It has an estimated population of 88, 675 people and an approximate size of 7.7 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of services, trade, manufacturing, construction and government. It is home to Thomas A. Edison State College.
