Billings, which was founded in 1882 and incorporated in 1885, is located in the center of the state, East of Butte. It has an estimated population of 81, 151 people and an approximate size of 32.6 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of agriculture, services, government and trade. It is home to Eastern Montana College and Rocky Mountain College.
