Boston, which was established in 1630 and chartered in 1822, is located on the East side of the State near the Ocean. It has an estimated population of 574, 283 people and an approximate size of 48.4 square miles. Its’ economy is primarily made up of services, trade, manufacturing and Government. It is home to Boston University, Tufts University of Medical School, Harvard University School of Medicine, New England Conservatory of Music, School of the Museum of Fine Arts, University of Massachusetts at Boston.
