Cedar Rapids, which was founded in 1841 and incorporated in 1856, is located in the center of the state, North West of Davenport. It has an estimated population of 108, 751 people and an approximate size of 53.5 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of services, trade and manufacturing. It is home to Coe College and Mount Mercy College.
