Boise, which was founded in 1834 and incorporated in 1864, is located on the South West side of the state. It has an estimated population of 125, 532 people and an approximate size of 46.1 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of services, agriculture, government and manufacturing.It is home to Boise State University.
