Marietta, which was established in 1833 and incorporated in 1852, is located just North of Atlanta. It has an estimated population of 44, 129 people and an approximate size of 19 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of services, government and wholesale and retail trade. It is home to Kennesaw State College and The Southern College of Technology.
