as Marthasville in 1843) and was re-incorporated in 1847, is located
in the North West section of the state. It has an estimated population
of 394, 017 people and an approximate size of 131.8 square miles.
The economy is primarily made up of government and wholesale and
retail trade. It is home to Emory University, Georgia Institute
of Technology and Atlanta University Center.

Atlanta. Other major cities include Marietta and Savannah. According
to the latest census, Georgia has an estimated population of 6,
478, 000 people and an approximate size of 59, 441 square miles.
The economy is primarily made up of textiles, manufacturing and
agriculture. The State Flower is the Cherokee Rose and the State
Bird is the Brown Thrasher. Wisdom, Justice, and Moderation
is the State motto.
