Jacksonville, which was established in 1816 and incorporated in 1832, is located on the North East corner of Florida. It has an estimated population of 635, 900 people and an approximate size of 760 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of services, government, wholesale and retail trade. It is home to the University of North Florida and Jacksonville University.
