Stamford, which was established in 1641 and incorporated in 1949, is located on the south of Connecticut. It has an estimated population of 108, 056 people and an approximate size of 34.9 square miles. Mainly known for its’ manufacturing, trades and services, it’s also home to St. Basil’s College, and branches of the University of Connecticut and Bridgeport Engineering Institute.
