Fresno, which was established in 1872 and incorporated in 1885, is located in the middle of the state. It has an estimated population of 354, 202 people and an approximate size of 99.1 square miles. The economy is primarily made up of agriculture, trade, services, manufacturing and government. It is home to California State University, Fresno University, Fresno City College and Kings River
Community College.
